Today we left Catania and went for a day trip to a town closer to Mt. Etna called Taormina. It was beautiful. You could see mainland from the top of the hill we were on. From Taormina we took a lift down the hill to a beach called Mazzaro. It was a rock beach but the water was a gorgeous blue and crystal clear. I wish we could have spent more time there. Afterwards we went back to Catania to grab our stuff then went straight to Palermo.
We checked into the hotel and went to bed. First night in Italy with A/C.
